In this place of recollection, where the soul channels its energy toward creation, abstract and figurative bodies are brought to life, inspiring the observant and curious eye to discover stories drawn from the creator's mind.

  • A graduating student in the Visual Arts program at Cégep de Ste-Foy, Thomas Rompré stands out for the boldness and originality of his work. A multidisciplinary artist, he combines sculpture, painting, drawing, music, and technology.

  • Thomas has extensive training as a violinist, which has led him to perform as a soloist with Les violons du Roy at the Palais Montcalm, among other events. As a visual artist, he has created promotional posters, participated in ComicCon, and exhibited his paintings at the Nano Cinco microbrewery. He plans to continue his studies in Fine Arts at the University of Quebec in Quebec City.

    Thomas's works are filled with details that hold a narrative and emotional charge that prompt a search for meaning, stimulated by contrasts in an elegant and respectful provocation of those who are viewing them. He creates installations that blend the abstract and the figurative, where colors and life-size scale tend toward realism.The artist wants to share a poetic work, combining the dreamlike and the real, creating atmospheres in which the viewer searches for hidden treasures. He uses a wide variety of eco-friendly materials, which will bend to the expressive needs of the created object. His interests combine fantasy, Christianity, mythology, and music.Thomas wants to lead the viewer to discover stories and atmospheres straight from his own imagination. He wants to democratize art by removing elitist stereotypes and presenting work that the viewer can appreciate at first glance.
